How to create users and customize their role-based permissions


This article will help you learn how to create users and manage their permissions in your Kohezion account. Your Kohezion account is a great tool to share your data with your team. This is why you can create as many users as you need within one Kohezion account.

Create a New Kohezion User

First, to create a new user, go to the “Administration” tab and then to the “Security” tab and click “New”.

You must now give your new user a username, password, first name, last name and email address.

As soon as you save, an email will be sent to the email address you specified to notify your new user of his login information.

Manage Project Permissions

You then want to give some project permissions to your new user. To do so, click on the second tab: “Permissions”.

For each project you can give different permissions to your user. Simply select the desired project and select the permissions you want to give.

The six possible permissions are:

  1. Create item,
  2. Delete item,
  3. Edit item,
  4. Invisible user: an invisible user may have permissions on a project but won’t show in the userlist fields.
  5. Project administrator: a project administrator can edit all project settings.
  6. View items.

Apply and save.

You can also edit the project permissions, from a project, under the “Security” tab.

Double-click on a project and select the required users and associated permissions. Apply and save.
